The chief election for the Algonquins of Greater Golden Lake First Nation was held on June 14, 2026, and that the two candidates for Chief were Terry Campbell and Paul Laderoute. The election notice states that voting took place on June 14, 2026, with both mail-in and in-person voting options.

Paul Laderoute has been elected as the Chief of the Algonquins of Greater Golden Lake First Nation following the June 14, 2026 election.
