Information regarding the in-person voting day

Once you receive your election package, mail-in ballots may be submitted by mail. Mail-in ballots will be picked up from the Canada Post Office between May 15, 2026 and the final pickup on June 12, 2026 at 4:00pm.

Voting members may also choose to vote in person on Election Day June 14, 2026.

We encourage all eligible voting members to participate in this important election process.

Just some gentle reminders about our Election for all members of the Algonquins of Greater Golden Lake First Nation. We have two candidates running for Chief. They are Terry Campbell and Paul Laderoute. You have two ways of voting:

To vote in person, polling day is June 14th, 2026. The polling station is located at our Community Office at 856 Pembroke St E, Pembroke, Ontario. It is open from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. Please bring two pieces of identification with you when you come to vote!
Last day to receive your Mail-In Ballot in the mail is June 12^th. Please follow the instructions in the Mail-In package very carefully by placing your ballot in the secrecy envelope and seal it, then place your signed Elector Confirmation Card in the Return Envelope along with the sealed secrecy envelope. Mail it!
