We are looking for a Tradesperson to join our team in Ottawa/Gatineau, as initially part of the Zibi project team. Given this projects borders, the project work will be done on both Quebec and Ontario lands and will be ongoing for several years. Modern Niagara is seeking prospective candidates to support their work on the Zibi project, while simultaneously hiring for the future beyond the Zibi project.
They are currently inviting members of the surrounding Algonquin Anishinaabe and/or broader First Nations communities to apply for this new and exciting position.
Qualifications and Experience:
Modern Niagara is a construction contractor with specialisms in commercial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing works. This position is available and open to both skilled trades people with technical experience and knowledge, as well as those who have limited experience and/or are looking to start a career in the construction industry.
- Of interest, but not required; Prior experience, training or interest in:
- HVAC technician;
- OR Pipe fitter;
- OR project coordination, project management
- Candidates may also have prior experience in general labour, with an interest to transition to the above fields within the operations team.
- Ability to work in Quebec and/ or Ontario
- Ability to speak French is an asset for this role, but not required
- Driven, motivated, punctual.
