Social Awareness and/or Anti-Racism – PCH Art Opportunity with Zibi
The Department of Canadian Heritage, in cooperation with Zibi, is inviting Canadian mural artists to submit proposals for two new mural projects to be prominently located in Ottawa and Gatineau. Two successful mural artists will receive $20,000 each to create a mural that reflects the themes of Social Awareness and/or Anti-Racism.
Please be advised that this opportunity is by invitation only, with strong interest to have participation from the Algonquin or broader Indigenous communities. Please indicate your interest in invitation to this opportunity by November 27th, including a brief bio, and a couple examples of previous works. A formal Request for Proposal (RFP) will follow for those included in the invitation pool. Proposals will be accepted in January (TBD), 2021, and the project will be completed in May 2021.
The deadline to submit your expression of interest is November 27, 2020.
